where time flows gently

The Place & The House

The Island, The Home

Thank you for staying at pono 118.

Yagaji Island is a small island of 8.12 km² with a population of approximately 1,100, located in northern Nago, Okinawa. Traditional villages remain, and the island's charm lies in its tranquil atmosphere where time flows slowly. It is connected to the main island of Okinawa by the Yagaji Bridge, and Kouri Island is just a 10-minute drive away.

Yohena, where this property is located, is a historic settlement on Yagaji Island where nature and daily life quietly harmonize. Archaeological sites dating back to the 12th century are spread throughout the area, with shell mounds that tell stories of ancient life.
